Wow! We have been up and moving again! And I have to admit it is great to be back, I am so happy to see most of our players back. We have missed everyone! I would like to say thank you to our fearless leader on behalf of good old Voldemort for winning Character of the Month. It means a lot to me to know that he is loved, because I do so love playing him! And congrats to Rogue for winning Player of the Month, keeping active, and working hard to keep your characters true to form! And of course, congrats to everyone for making MMM a screaming success again.

For everyone's knowledge, it seems that the young lady playing Andromida and Rudulphus has dropped out on us... which is sad, but seeing as she has not posted since our return, I feel it only fair to put the two characters back up for grabs!

Keep up the good work everyone!

E~

7/28/11

If all goes according to plan, we would like to get started again Friday July 29th. I know this is short notice, I have been unable to sit down and update the site. :D. I have heard that just about everyone is coming back, I have not yet heard from Ren or Rogue, but I hope to see them!!!! See you all then!

E~

7/20/11

We are hoping to be reopening soon. Sometime in the next few weeks. so anyone that is interested in returning to us should keep checking the site for activity, or watch this box and I will announce when we are up and active

Thanks everyone for their patience!

Knowing that Lucius was far old enough to come to Hogsmede
during the weekends with his classmates he had his father
send him a note telling him to come to the shop. He could
have summoned him, but then the element of surprise would
not have been in Tom's favor. He was of course well
protected, even here, there were several death eaters
standing guard around the place, hidden from sight, and
his beloved Nagini was slithering about keeping guard of
    him as well.

When Lucius arrived he would the Dark Lord standing in the
middle of the room, dressed in slacks and a button down
white shirt, with a brown vest on that matched his slacks.
His cloak was neatly put aside, his hair not slicked back
but falling rather haphazardly in his face. Red eyes turned
their serpentine gaze upon that Slytherin Prince. "Thank
you for coming so promptly, I fear I have come across a
situation by which I needed to speak to you directly."
    He
purred with all of the charm of a snake.

The shop was empty other then a chair and a long rope hanging
from the rafters, one that he toyed with, tying different
knots in it as he spoke before seeming to settle on a simple
    noose knot.

    |ooc: I think you made Lucius Pee in his pants |

He had come into the shop expecting another lecture, or beating from his father for something he had or had not done. His father no longer scared him, he was simply going thru the motions biding his time until he could replace him.

These were his thoughts as he entered the room, He turned and closed the door behind him and then froze. He regained his composure quickly enough but was visibly off balance as this was the last thing he had expected.

His eyes swept the room then back.

    "M'Lord?"

He asked quietly. When told to sit - he did. Trying really hard not to look at the noose.

A fools game (Lucius and Voldemort) Hannibal07

The Dark Lord watched as Lucius startled and once more
found his footing. The wonders about being the dark lord
meant that Alexander had not questioned what Tom wanted
with his son, merely set him up for the fall without so
much as a second thought. A useful puppet, but hardly the
kind of Death Eater he wished to have close to his side.
And yet it seemed Lucius had learned far too much from his
father about the ways of life, as he had been willing to
set Narcissa up for the fall with little more regard then
his father had when signing the letter Voldemort told him
    to send.

Once Lucius sat he made note of where his eyes refused to
travel. "Shh Lucius, this is not for you." He said softly
"But I am afraid you have made me very unhappy with you.
Sending the young Miss Black to uproot Antonin was not the
    smarter of your schemes."
He whispered, a snake like lilt
to his voice, as if he were accented by Parstletongue.

"I am afraid I know where the true blame lays for your disregard
for your fellow Death Eathers lies. You see now I am at
an impass. Your father wishes you to marry a pure bride,
so that the power you draw from your union is unmarred, and
you knowingly sent young Narcissa to Antonin, planting in
her mind that she had to give up her purity to him. I am
not sure how I should handle this Lucius. It is not condusive
for my plans for the future to have this happen. I need
a Black/Malfoy offspring and preferably not a bastard child.
    You are proving very troublesome."
    Silence fell over the
room as he awaited Lucius' response.

Lucius was the 'Prince' of Slytherin house and was used to having the run of things. Clearly, when here...that was not the case. He was spooked, it was impossible to miss.

He knew what this was about before the other had even started talking. He didn't interupt - smart boy.

Instead he waited for the other to stop talking.

"I never told her that is what she would have to do. I told her the method she attempted was for her to decide, bribery, seduction, threats...I wasn't my fault that she chose that play. She wanted to show me what she could do, she obviously did."

He already knew he said more than he should so he shut up. He had for his sake been honest. He never told her she had to come and be all sexual - that was the path she picked, but he didn't deny sending her, or his goals..

Already slit pupils seemed to tighten more, as a snake who
has spotted its prey. His hand wrapping around the noose
and pulling on it as it closed on his own wrist.

"Have you forgotten to whom you speak Lucius?" He growled
softly, rage evident in the near hissing tone he spoke.
"I am not one of your foolish followers that you can easily
talk your way around, if I didn't know better I would think
you were vying for my spot, not Antonin's. You have no
regard for your fellow death eaters, a trait that you and
your father share... did you know he didn't even ask why
I wanted you when he signed that letter. He didn't even
    blink an eye."

He knew that Lucius was supposedly done with his father,
and all of that, however he wondered if once his plans for
this evening's entertainment came to bare if he would feel
    the same.

"Don't get me wrong, I am angry with Antonin because he knew
better then to do what he did, but you sent her there, and
do not lie to me and tell me you didn't know what Dolohov
would do, for if you say such and are not lying then you
    are a fool."
He said to him, he would let his weight lean
forward, holding himself up by the noose that was wrapped
around his wrist. "Now Lucius, did you learn this disturbing
    behavior from your father?"

He swallowed thinking over his next words carefully.

"I do not want your place, M'Lord. That is a whole truth. I do not want ultiment power - just a large enough chunk to do what I can to further your cause."

    He licked his lips.

"I won't lie and say every action I do is for you - as I know it should be, But at 16 a nothing in a school of nothing, there is very little I can do to rid that school of the filth that I have to wade thru to gether to class. "

He kept his eyes on Voldemorts nose, looking in his diretion but never meeting thoes eyes.

"I want more - of course, I do. Yes, I will benifit from whatever I gain, but - so will you. "

When his father was mentioned he scoffed slightly and shook his head.

"He'd kill me if you asked him. My father saw to it that I had a very earily education into all things pain, death would just be the next high for him. He's probbly just bummed he missed out on whatever it is you'll do to me. I'm Just another stepping stone."

In that small final exchange he sounded like a bitter 16 year old kid from an abusive home, not just the arrogant, world smart prat he was the rest of the time.

Those eyes slipped downward, listening to not only Lucius'
words but the thought behind them. "Is he really such a
    monster?"
Voldemort asked. There was a soft sound of rec-
ognition in his voice, as if he might know a thing or two
about horrible abusive parents. And he did.

He turned his eyes away from Lucius, refusing to give in to
empathy for even a moment. "Do you think you could do
better as the patriarch of your family then Alexander does
    Lucius?"
    He asked.

He shook his head, no. He didn't want to come across as some whiney kid. Though his thoughts were plain enough, the beatings with the fathers cane wand...and a very early - physical educiation.

There was a reason sex wasn't something he considered private or intimient - it was means to an end.

Voldemort held his gaze for a few minutes longer. His head
canting some. He would pull his hand out of the noose and
    step forward.

"And should you get the family, would you be willing to
replace your father at the ministry?
    His position there is
paramount to my keeping eyes and ears in there." He asked,
he was clearly regarding Lucius' words and movements, but
the other did not feel him in his mind, giving him a moment
of trust that the other should know better then to abuse.

Voldemort watched Lucius for a moment. ``Are you aware
that the only way that you can do this is for your father
    to die?
`` He asked raising a brow. There was a feeling
in the air that was clear that this was a clear test. He
wasn't going to give him any sign as to what was the
correct answer. Did he want Lucius to be that heartless
or would he frown upon the fact that Lucius was willing to
    kill his own family.\\

There was a quiet moment of thought. It was not to be mistaken by fear or doubt. There was a reason his favorite game was chess, he loved the stragety in it. His eyes slowly rose to meet and by some wonder - hold Voldemort's gaze. It seemed very clear he wanted the other to feel the honesty in his words.

"My lord. My surname is the only thing that attaches me to him as family. My family - the family which I want to see grow and strenghten is here, amung your followers. For that reason, I will marry, kill, breed or challenge whom ever you feel will help futher the growth and prospertiy of my true family."

There would be no lie in his mind, as he held his gaze a moment longer before dropping it in respect.

A grin twisted over the dark lord's lips as he watched
Lucius debating the words he spoke. He knew the other was
no fool and would easily see through the fact that this
was clearly a test. He had displeased Voldemort, and the
tests were crucial after that. These tests proved to the
dark lord that you were still worth spending his time on.
The problem was, the answers. The answers were never as
clear cut as the knowledge that it was a test. Mostly
because, as a mind like Lucius' could determine, there was
no technical correct answer. It was a psychological game.

"Such a charmer." Tom purred, his fingers releasing the
rope that he had been holding as he came forward and squatted
in front of Lucius. His red eyes holding the others silvery
gaze. Not blinking, not veering. "And what of your mother
then? Is she not family Lucius?"

Again, his tone showed that he was still testing the other.
One question lead to another, a maddening circle, it seemed
as if the tests never truly ended. They simply lead from one
to another, and on and on and on.

Lucius managed not to flinch back, he was used to being the big man on campus but in that moment he could help but feel tiny. Of course, his pride both in himself and in how Voldemort saw him would keep him from showing it.

"What would killing her gain you my lord?" He asked calmly.

"Killing my father clears the way for someone who could actively persue your goals. Where as my mother serves her tasks well, likely better with out my father to impede her. I would feel she would serve more to you alive then dead. "

He managed to keep himself in the seat and not flinch away.

A moment of disappointment flashed over the Dark Lord's
serpentine gaze. Red hues turning away from Lucius' as he
came to stand and turned, walking back towards the hanging
    noose.

"I am fairly sure that was not an answer to my question."
He said before turning that gaze back to Lucius. "You
said: My family - the family which I want to see grow and
strengthen is here, among your followers. What of your
mother then? Answer me straight Lucius, your attempt to
speak around me is growing tiresome."

Lucius couldn't keep his eyes on Voldemort, even as he walked away. As his eyes drifted back to the noose he suddenly prefered the back of Voldemorts robes.

He swallowed, closed his eyes and focused his mind. His emotions were kicking in and they were interferring with the puzzle. There was no place in his plans or answers for them.

He knew it, and he typically did an exceedingly good job at leaving emotions at the door. Admittively, the Dark Lord had startled him and he had slipped up.

Now in the briefest moment of a grace peroid as the other crossed away from him and spoke he took the time to gather his frazzled focus and respond in a more collected and far more Malfoy tone.

"My appolgies, M'lord. That is to say. My mother is apart of your family and thus our family. She is a loyal death eater and she like the rest of us know that we follow you to whatever end you see for us. Completely, M'Lord."

"Completely you say Lucius?" He asked, he would snap his
fingers and two hooded and masked death eaters would drag a
man with an executioner hood on his head out, pulling the
noose around his neck before stepping back. The man,
clearly unsure of his surroundings, but clearly feeling the
noose stood still, shaking slightly. "And if I told you to
kill this man? Without question, without reason... could
    you kill him?"
He asked. Lucius until now had not been a
killer, but he wondered how easy it would be to get him to
    kill.

Lucius was a rich kid pretty boy. That did not mean he was above saving his own neck above others. He knew that if he declined to follow a direct order it would be his neck in the noose. Likewise, he wasn't far from that noose as it stood.

"And what if you had to look him in the eye?" Voldemort
asked. "Killing is much easier when you do not have to
look at the person you are killing. Take off the hood
    Lucius."
He purred, he moved around, gracefully, until he
    was standing behind Lucius.

Should the other remove the hood, he would find that the one he was looking at was his own eyes. His father... who
gasped seeing who was placed before him.

"M...m'Lord?? Lucius?? What is going on here??" He asked,
clearly scared for his life as Voldemort watched him trying
to figure things out with an indifferent stare. Lucius would
feel a wand pressed into his hand, his own wand, how Tom got
it would be a mystery. Nothing more was said.

Lucius never took his eyes off the hood even as he felt Voldemort move around behind him. He took a steeling breath and exhaled in near silence before reaching up and taking the hood.

Who would he find beneath it?

    Severus?
    A teacher or fellow student?
    His father?
    A stranger?

With a solid jerk the hood fell away and he took the slightlest step back into Voldemort. It wasn't a fear reaction or even shock as one might expect. His eyes glimmered but otherwise his mask remained.

When he felt the wand being placed into his hand, ever so slowly he smiled. Something taht would do little more to comfort his father.

    "Good evening father."

He extended the wand smoothly until it nearly touched his father's chest.

"I told you." She said crypitcally to his father "You should have listened."

Unless he would stop he would give a flick of his wand and with out a seconds hesitation kill his father.

There was something in Tom's eyes that Alexander could see
but that Lucius could not, as Tom was behind Lucius at the
moment. Something that was rare to see, and would not be
seen much in years to come.

    Empathy.

He knew the longing to kill ones own kin. He had done it
himself, and found it rather liberating to kill the thing
that brought him into this world. After all, if you sever
that tie... then none other will hold control over you.
Well, none other but Tom in this case, as Tom could just as
easily kill Lucius, and with about as much care as Lucius
    could kill his father.

When Lucius stepped back, he would step into Tom, who was...
surprisingly warm to the touch, many assumed he would be as
chilled to the touch as his heart, or the snake he adored
so very much. A hand came to his shoulder to steady him, but
not to support or push him. He would not show if he cared or
    not if this happened.

But no, he did not stop Lucius from killing his father. The test
had never really been if he would, he was always almost certain
that he would do it. The test was truly how was it done. Did
he cause suffering. Yes. Did he allow the suffering to extend.
Yes. But not to the point of taking too long. Often a Death Eater
had to disappear quickly. Learning to cause the most amount of
pain in the shortest possible time before killing was something
a Death Eater needed to know.

"Well done. But this spell you used, I have never seen it before."
Voldemort said. He waved his hand and the two Death Eaters still
masked came in and pulled off the body of Alexander and replaced it
with that of a known Muggle Lover. He snapped his fingers and
magical binds came over the begging mans body to hold him in
    place.

    Again he focused on Lucius.

"Where did you learn this spell? Teach it to me." He said, it
was unclear if he was annoyed that Lucius knew a spell that he
did not. Or if he was impressed. But he was not sleeping
with Severus Snape, who was the creator of the Sercumsempra
spell... so there is no reason Tom would have known it.

He exhaled slowly as his father died at his feet. Of all the emotions in his fathers eyes he never saw confusion. In his final moments he was all to aware of just was his son was capible of. He was a monster of his own making and Lucius had no remorse for the actions he had taken.

He looked up, surprised at Voldemorts words - both at the praise and the request...or was it an order.

As much as his pride and arrogance would have liked to take credit for the spell - he knew better.

"It isn't my creation, M'Lord. It is Severus' curse, I did it silently but the wording is Sercumsempra. It doesn't require a lot of fluid wrist movements, just a swish down...almost in mind of a sword. Severus is working toward a counter curse but so far as I know he hasn't mastered it yet."

"Ssseverusss..." He purred thoughtfully, hissing the
parciltounge accent on the words. Thoughtfully tapping
his wand against his own temple. "That little half breed
never cieses to amaze does he. Potions whiz, natural occlumens
... and now a spell crafter..."

He would turn those serpentine eyes towards the man hanging
in Alexander's place now. "Secumsempra." He purred,
allowing the wand to fall, the mark easily opening on the body, deep and clearly painful. There was a reason
he was the dark lord after all, he picked up magic like
    no one's buisness.

    "Interesting."

"I have found having him close serves many purposes."

Lucius answered watching the other use the curse with a clear attentiveness, but no pity for the man who died shortly afterward.

"He has some other spells, but this was by far the most intersting."

He offered the dark lord back the wand he had been given. He might have cared for severus in his own backwards manipulitive kind of way, that didn't mean he didn't worry that he would be over looked for the halfblood and surpassed back him in the dark lords favor...it was not something he liked the idea of.

"Usefulness?" He asked looking side long at Lucius for a
moment, those eyes holding the others, gleaning only off of
the surface of his mind. "You are far more involved then
one might be for usefulness. Becareful... if you make your
relations to obvious you will lose the respect of those
closest to you. Bellatrix's unyeilding respect of you is
fading each time you stand up for Severus. It might not
prove so useful if you loose all you have for a halfbreed."

The Dark Lord spoke passively, yet in a tone that begged
the other to not bother lying to him, for he already knew
the truth. "Do not fall in love with this halfbreed
    Lucius,
should he become a distraction... I will remove it. I need
your focus on the tasks ahead of you."
