Lucius seemed breifly surprised to hear his name mentioned in regaruds to her behavior. But said nothing, nor gave away anything as she writhed and screamed in pain.

He looked back to the Dark Lord addressed him thoes cold eyes again found her.

"Thank You , My Lord. One must be careful with using pain to gain responces. It is not that I am opposed to pain - but it often causes them to tell us what they think we want to hear...rather than the facts, anything to make the pain stop. I would suggest - first drawing their memories with a pensive so that others might inspect them upon their death or if other methods fail. Then as opposed to pain, I would suggest something more psychological - sensory deprovation. One method I have found well in on day one show them a video of their house and ask. If they don't answer, day two show a video of the interior of their home, and ask..if they don't answer show a video of their family sleeping...and so on. Each day gives them time to think on what the next video will show.. it takes time but is highly effective."

The streak of pain that jolted through her body and electrified her senses made Narcissa want to cry out in agony. She didn't want to give Voldemort the pleasure of hearing her scream so for a long moment her body writhed in the air her lips forced shut by her own will those ice blue eyes wide and focused on Voldemort's own menacing stare as if she wanted to tell him even in forced silence that her will could not be broken ....

But alas, all those who rise must someday fall some quicker than others. Narcissa was no match for the Dark Lord. He knew exactly what she wanted and how to take it away at a moment's notice. He made that clear in his words and that was what made her cry out in sheer pain.

Her thin body lay crumpled on the floor like a swan that had broken it's wing in flight and was forever immobilized. She had only screamed once but somehow within herself Narcissa knew that was enough for the Dark Lord. The message had been made clear.

She remained where she lay on the ground unable to move. Her body felt like it was pierced with a million shards.

Get up you idiot! Inner thoughts screamed at her to rise. She didn't belong here below everyone else the last to be accepted in Voldemort's eyes. She had to redeem herself... but that must come another night. For now, she had to focus on finding her strength to get up off the floor before he decided to use another curse on her for pure pleasure alone.

Her eyes darted to Lucius then quickly looked away. How could he see her like this? Would he not defend her? No... of course not. Why would he? Narcissa meant nothing to him... not above Voldemort. She never would be.

Wisely she remembered that Voldemort could read into her mind if he so wished and instantly thought of the traitors at the table. She focused on them will all of her willpower while managing to get up onto her feet forcing herself not to crumple forward again though her body begged for release. It was too much to walk... yet she made it back to her chair keeping her eyes downcast long lashes touching her cheeks she no longer smiled or held her head up high.

That porcelain skin grew even paler- as white as snow only making her beauty radiate that stronger throughout the room though now it was a broken beauty one without pride.... oh yes, Voldemort had shaken her just for a moment... but it was enough to leave the right impression.

She would not dare cross him again.

Her eyes flicked once to Bellatrix narrowing just slightly tears in the corners of her eyes as if to say :

Not even you would come to my side Bella? My own sister?

Before she stared at her lap again convincing her hands to stop shaking.

The pain caused by the Cruciatus Curse is said to be worse than "one thousand white-hot knives, boring into the skin."

Doesn't matter how badass you are - Hit by that curse from an adverage Death Eater will have any man screaming in torment ... you can't resisit the urge to scream - it is a direct assult on the pain recepters. Pair that against Voldemort who has hate a plenty - so times it like 100... ||

(Ok, I don't know most of you people, so I can only base opinions on what
I have seen, but this is me, ooc, as an administrator talking. I clearly
posted that he did not stop the spell until she was screaming and begging
for him to stop. That means, if it took an hour or a week, he held the
spell until her will broke and she cried and begged for him to stop. So
your post here is nill and I would appreciate it please if you would
repost.

Also, we need to be fair here, there is no description in the books that
made Narcissa an amazing independent woman. In all descriptions she came
across as being `Old Money` and a `Traditionalist`. women from old
money tend to be regal and dignified, and traditionalists believe that a
womans place is at her husbands side. I will not tell
you how to play your character, but please keep that in mind.

Angry as she was with Narcissa's defiance, it did not change that she loved her sister, and wanted to be at her side. She had already risen and started forward before Voldemort's words stayed her in her tracks, tears streaking down her ivory cheeks, leaving black streaks of makeup in their wake. She wanted to plead with the Dark Lord to allow her to go to her sister's side, but she knew better. She knew it would only land her in her sister's place. Her body shook softly as she sank back down into her chair... her eyes never leaving Narcissa...

Her arms cross, nails biting into the back of her own arms, hard enough to nearly draw blood. When Narcissa looked at her with such anger she could only mouth `i'm sorry` in return.\\

He listened to Lucious speak, his eyes on the traitors, before turning them towards the dark lord. His eyes went wide to see one of the black sisters now curses and in pain. It was one of the many he could name off as a child. always more in to curses then anything else. He woudl watch the girl straggle with the pain, his eyes moved to her sister that seemed to be shaking as she spoke.

So they do care about one another? He spoke to himself in his mind. He wondered how close the sisters really were. His eyes snaked back to Lucious as he spoke taking in every word about using pain, and not using it. "I have a potion..." he muttered looking towards the dark lord and the lucious. That was the only thing he would say for now. If it was taken, he would finish, but for now, he decided talking to much would lead to his death... and he was had to much to do to die now.

HE would move his fingers through his robes. letting his arms cross with in his sleeves. IF answered he would contenue. "I can make it... with in a few moments... "

Why was a girl screaming such a fucking turn on? He wondered letting his mind wonder before snapping back to where he was. Shit, he was getting light headed. He would let one hand rest on the back of the chair leaning against it looking towards what was going on. HE came around and would stand beside Bella. Oh, he did like this hot trick... And all her lovely insanity, but for now, he would stand near her.

"Let's not add to the screaming... hmm, savy?" He would mutter making sure she understood. A few strands of his mowhawk fall down in to his face. He would watch her go in to pain. IT was really to bad... you would thank the girl would use her head... there was such things at being to ballzy... Naz crossed the line, and that was something not to do, well, it wasn't to fucking wise after all.

Alex would watch as the other fourteen year old found herself on the ground. Those dark brown hues watched her scream out in pain, sending shivers through his own body. To think, what could happen to him if his lateness had been at the wrong time. What he would do to use the same curse on his little sister.

He looked towards the other two blacks in the room to see if either of them would be stupid enough to run over to try to stop what wasgoing on. IT was almost making him smile to see another one of them to end up in the same thing. He, himself, wouldn't give a damn if Alice ended up in such a state. He would do anything to rid the world of that little wonder brain!

"What about having them watch you slowly kill another infront of them... kind of like this.... make one scream, close enough for them to hear.. then they will start to fear what might happen to them if they don't talk... It is still using pain... but fear too.." he stated.

(OOC- On the contrary Eric- this is my first time playing Narcissa so all critiques are welcome. I have played those on the dark lord's side before my specialty being Draco Malfoy so it's a bit strange for me to play his mother. I keep bringing out Draco's characteristics that more likely belong to Lucius then to Narcissa. Please be patient with me getting used to this character as I am also having to conquer playing two other new personnas for myself- Lily and Molly- which thankfully, aren't as much of a challenge. Moony can vouch for me that I've written with HP roleplays just about as long as she has so it's not that i'm inexperienced with the characters just with Narcissa in particular. Any suggestions such as the one you just gave me are more then welcome. That being said, I will gladly repost. After all, I do want to keep the story line as realistic as possible.)

When Voldemort's curse struck her Narcissa's entire body froze in place before a jolt shot so hard through her it was enough to make her skin crawl and be seen by the naked eye. Her body began to writhe uncontrollably as her lips parted and an inhuman shrill escaped from the depths of her throat. Her ice cold eyes rolled in the back of her head as the curse continued her blonde hair lashing from side to side covering her face in moments and revealing it's ghostly complexion at others.

"PLEASE.... MY LORD PLEASEEEE!!! I'LL DO ANYTHING! ANYTHING YOU ASK OF ME....I CAN'T-"

her voice got cut off gurgling sounds coming from the back of her throat when she lost her voice to the pain that ripped through her body threatening to tear her in half she went out of consciousness and came back time and time again her throat tensed her body shook so violently one would think it was an exorcism all of her beautiful features were mangled together in one incredible show of the Dark Lord's power. When he would release her she would fall in a crumpled heap at the ground and it would be a long moment before she managed to crawl to her chair gasping for air she would sit holding her throat, her lips, that she kept shut to keep from anyone hearing the silent tears streaming down her face quivered violently. She pressed a pale hand against her mouth and kept her eyes downcast shutting out everything around her only keeping her ears open to what they were saying.

Oh yes, Narcissa had been taught her lesson and put in her rightful place.

For years she had been known as a princess anywhere she stepped acting as if she should be treated as royalty but now... she was the servant. Seeing the look on Lucius' face as if the very image of her put a bad taste in his mouth made her realize that it was going to take more then suffering to one of the Unforgiveable Curses to win back his favor.

It was too late- the cards had been dealt and she would have to think of something in private away from the prying crimson eyes of the insane Tom Riddle before she could figure out just where to go from here. Her father would be outraged to find out what happened but she was sure, now more then ever, that she must do as was commanded of her and act as a proper woman in Lucius' presence... else she could lose him forever.

(OOC- P.S. Let's keep in mind that Narcissa was surely a different woman as a teenager then she was as a grown adult- loyal and submissive to her husband and his desires. As a teenager, she was surely similar to her son and we never got a feel for that side of her in the books or movies- only as an old lady.
So... I didn't mind tweaking her character a bit but making her a bit of a bitch with a duchess personna as a teen, for me, and suffering voldemort's wrath gives a good explanation for why she fears him so much as an adult and why she is so loyal to lucius once she has him as her husband in the future. for me- I thought Narcissa must have done something at a younger age to gain such a loyal death eater from Voldemort and gaining him as a husband and father of her child Draco. That was my reasoning for making her character that way. anyway, just wanted to explain that. thanks for the input still.)

Voldemort watched those around him, at the same time as he
was listening to what Lucius was saying. He watched
Narcissa pull herself off of the floor, broken, and was
content with this for now.

Red eyes slipped over the group before settling on Lucius
a bit of a grin tugging over his lips, all other thoughts
forgotten for a moment.

``I see you like to get your own hands dirty Lucius,
however, I must concur with Mr. Snape, the potion would
be a far easier way to do so... very few in this world can
stand up against it.`` He said turning those red eyes
towards Severus for a moment and nodding for him to go on.

Severus would stay quiet standing beside Lucious when he was spoken too, He woud nod his head and would step away form his friend a bit. "It is a truth telling Syrum... it works... pretty well.. I can make it with ease... You ahve them drink it.... then ask them questions... when it starts it is hard to tell if they are telling you the truth... but after a while... you find they can not tell you a lie... no matter how hard they would like too."

He would bite the inner side of his cheek for a moment thinking. ".... I would need to either go home... or.. if you have." He would start naming off the shot list of what he needed to make it. "It doesn't take more then an hour to cook... I'm sorry i that is too long.. but.. the longer i cook it... the higher it makes the potion."

Severus would go quiet again watching the black girl stand up probably now in more pain then she could stand still.

Bella's gaze slowly returned to the group as Narcissa seemed to be returning to normal. She would reach under the table and take her hand softly, as I am assuming they were sitting near to each other. But she remained quiet as she had been told too by the Dark Lord. When he turned his attention to Lucius' pet, Severus, Bellatrix watching him closely. She didn't trust the half blood. She didn't understand why it was that Severus was here... it was a blight in the face of everything that they stood for!

Lucius didn't quiet respond to the Dark Lords comment about getting his hands dirty. He liked seeing things handled effectively, and he had the good sense to make sure he couldn't be tied to it...so really, he;d rather someone get their hands dirty why accomplishing his agenda.

But he wasn't sure it was time to speak so he stayed quiet attentive eyes on Severus.

Why was Malfoy assoicated with this Mudblood prince? Quiet simply - He saw the threat he could pose, and the genius behind the greesey hair. He'd much rather have his loyalty than have to worry about what he was helping someone else come up with. He had been honest with the Dark Lord over this.

He admitted he had a fondness for the the other, but that fondness did not extend to stupidity - He would end him his self if he felt he posed a threat.

A fact he truly believed, though in that moment who would know.

Amidst the discussion between the others Narcissa bit her own tongue to keep from commenting on the ideas that so many threw at the Dark Lord each with their own way of ending the traitors and getting them to speak.

She heard Snape's offer and her eyebrows raised slightly the tears drying from her face her attention turned to the half-blood. She wanted to say something to him but now was certainly not the time.

When she trusted herself to remain silent, by the command of the Dark lord himself, her eyes found Lucius and focused there for a long moment before turning back to the Dark Lord simply watching him her expression had turned to one of a stone angel- incapable of reading the look in her eyes. For someone on the outside it would look as if she may have been studying him but her thoughts ran much deeper then that.

Her full lips parted once- though only to let out a long breath she had steadied herself again and her body had stopped shaking.

Well well Narcissa did have a back-bone after all. She would sit tall now but not in an arrogant manner.

All of her focus was on the Dark Lord's responses.

This was her moment to decide where her true loyalties would lie her ears were open listening to everyone in the room picking out friend and foe alike yet still not a word escaped from her lips.

She would obey- as was expected of her.
